The warm, moist, morning air caressed their faces. Some of the salt from the ocean's breeze still managed to carry itself through the window of their room. The rising sun's reflection danced on the clear blue water's surface starting their first technical day. Eight days and seven nights at an ocean side hotel in Hawaii, courtesy his parents.

He smiled down at her as she shivered, his honey gold eyes having that loving twinkle when he looked at her. Only she could shiver in 65 degree weather. Letting out an adoring sigh he pulled the comforter to her shoulders, kissing her forehead lightly. Over thirteen years, Nami was exactly the same with each little habit.

Nami stirred a little, easing her soft cerulean eyes open, smiling when she found Nagi there with her. "Oh no..." she blushed, attempting to cover her face.

"What?" he inquired, ruffling his black tresses.

"How long have you been awake?" Nami asked.

"Only a few minutes," he replied.

"Did I...?" Nami sat up immediately, mortified.

"Did you?" Nagi asked. He didn't have any idea what she was too embarrassed to ask.

"Fall asleep on you?" Nami finished her thought.

"Yeah, you did," Nagi answered, letting Nami stand up from the bed, watching her approach the window. "Hey," Nagi slid across the bed and stood behind her, kissing her shoulder and wrapping his arms around her waist. "Jet lag can get to you. I went to sleep like right after you," he assured her.

"Some honeymoon," Nami sighed.

"Hey, we have plenty of time for that," Nagi said, kissing Nami's neck. "But you can get a coffee, I'll get some juice, we can order room service...take a hot shower..."

Nami smiled, "Hot shower in Hawaii?"

"I didn't say the water would be hot," Nagi said sheepishly as he ran his hands down her hips. He stepped away from her, starting toward their mini-fridge, "Or we can save that for a dirty swim..."

"Nagi Vincent!" Nami blushed, turning to face him.

Nagi held up his left hand and pointed to the wedding ring. "I'm allowed to have these thoughts, now."

"And somehow you're still cute enough that this flatters me," Nami rolled her eyes as she covered her breasts with her crossed arms.

"I've still seen you naked," Nagi shrugged.

"I saw you naked first," Nami playfully argued, blushing as she smiled over at her newly wedded husband. She sat on the edge of the bed, staring out the window, admiring the natural beauty of the rolling waves.

"Are we really going to argue like we did in high school?" Nagi asked.

Nami shrugged, "We debated, really. Arguments would make us hate one another." She sighed yearningly as she stared down at her natural red hair color. She hadn't seen her hair that color for years.

"Something on your mind?" Nagi wondered as he approached her again, nestling closely against her as he awaited an answer.

"Just missing our younger days," she admitted.

"We're not that old, Nami," he offered as he ran his fingers through her hair. "But, what do you miss?"

"Our friends," she whispered. "We'd been through so much and right out of high school we have different majors in college and then after college we haven't seen or heard from anybody."

"I know," Nagi muttered.

"I don't know how I'd deal with it if it were the same between us."

"I'd still be set on you," he promised. "So ten years after college I'd still shyly be asking you on not-dates hoping you'd think it was a date and kiss me."

"And I'd still eagerly accept them, hoping you liked me as more than a friend," Nami offered.

"I did. You are my best friend," he responded softly before kissing her neck a few times.

Nami caressed Nagi's hand as she continued admiring the natural beauty of the environment. "Wanna take a walk on the beach?"

"Let's get dressed and head down," Nagi agreed readily.

Lulu slipped out of bed, making her way for the bathroom. She opened the door, closed and locked it out of habit and made her way for the vanity. She applied her mud mask and looked at herself in the mirror. Quite pleased with her figure as she always had been, Lulu twirled a little.

Her amusement with the flutter of her robe ended quickly when she caught the reflection of a magazine sticking out of a towel cupboard. She frowned as she approached the cupboard, pulling out a Playboy magazine. "Damn maids are snooping again," she hissed. She reached for the top shelf, pulling down her Playgirl magazine, "What a good wake up call," she moaned, drooling over the cover model.

The door creaked open and Lulu's husband Akira appeared in the doorway. His hair was longer than Lulu's and pulled into a hair tie to keep it neater, though it failed at doing so. "On our honeymoon?" he demanded.

Lulu paused, holding up the issue of the magazine for him to see, "Relax, it's just the fetishes you said hell no to edition."

"Oh, okay," Akira shrugged it off, grabbing his fetish magazine as well and leaving the bathroom. "Wanna go to the beach later on?" he asked as he collapsed on the bed.

"Sure," Lulu shrugged before returning her full attention the the magazine.

He watched her sleep with utter adoration, his mind allowing him to shift between the present and the distant past as he took in the peaceful expression of his bride. So much had changed, and yet so much had not... She was still the same gorgeous woman he'd married in his old life, only now her features held the weariness of life.

In the past twenty years they had grown so close, he'd been there for her from the beginning though until about seven years ago she hadn't known he was a person. Anoka brushed Anka's dark hair from her eyes, making note to tell her she ought to keep the streaks of natural blue that had faded into the black.

Her eyes fluttered open as he gently carressed her cheek and she pressed herself closer to him, "What time is it?" She murmured softly.

"It is still early." Anoka murmured, "You can sleep still if you'd like."

"No, I'm awake now..." Anka replied, rubbing her eyes sleepily and stretching languidly against him, "I feel like I've done nothing but sleep since we got on the plane yesterday..."

"You've had a lot going on." Anoka replied, "Finishing your novel on time, the wedding and reception... Helping out at the dig site... You're allowed your rest."

"I need some air..." Anka sat up and glanced towards the balcony, a small smile curling her lips, "Why don't we check out the beach while it's still early?"

"That sounds like a fantastic idea." Anoka agreed as they crawled out of bed and slipped into clothes.

Clasping hands they left the room and headed downstairs and out to the beach. "It's gorgeous out here." Anka sighed, leaning her head on Anoka's shoulder, "I can't believe we're actually here..."

Nami lifted her skirt as she waded ankle deep into the crystal blue waters. "It's so refreshing..." she murmured.

"Naturally. It is Hawaii," Nagi murmured, blushing a little as he watched her.

Nami turned around, walking backwards as she spoke to Nagi. "What made you choose Hawaii?"

"Well, there are no demons to awaken in pyramids, nor wishing faeries or dragons, werewolves, vampires..." Nagi counted off every thought to be mythological creature he could think of.

"Ah, worried your magic will awaken something again..." Nami nodded in understanding.

"Did I tell you? My mother told me everything about our family history and she said that anybody that shares our magic will come where they are needed most..." he said thoughtfully as he remembered the first pleasant conversation with his mother in a long while.

"That explains why we went to Egypt and slew the demons," Nami admitted.

"Did you just check her out?" Lulu demanded.

"No, she's not my type," Akira replied.

"What? How so?" Lulu asked.

"She's wearing a cross necklace, thus wouldn't like premarital sex," Akira said firmly.

Lulu glared daggers at Akira, "Marital sex means the person you're married to only!"

"Didn't say I'd do it," Akira said as he scoffed some sand with his bare feet.

"You are unbelievable..." Lulu crossed her arms, quickening her pace.

"Where are you going?"

"To pick up some bozo," Lulu called back.

"Hey!" Akira dashed after her, "Does that make me a bozo?"

"Is that really all you're concerned about?" Lulu asked.

"Wow, you're bad at flirting..."

Lulu halted and turned to face Akira. "Excuse me?"

"I meant that we should go for a little sex on a beach," he motioned toward the empty half of the beach that they were walking toward.

"You always know just what to say!" Lulu cooed before grabbing Akira's arm and dragging him far away from the hotel's beach.

"Look how clear the water is!" Anka gasped as they slipped onto the beach, subconsciously she took in the few other couples that were enjoying the morning weather as she pulled Anoka to the water's edge.

"We'll be able to swim when the weather warms up later." Anoka promised, wrapping his arms around Anka's shoulders and nestling his face against the back of her neck.

She shivered and reached back to run her fingers through his hair, "I love you."

"I love you too." He murmured pleasantly as the water waded over their bare feet gently.

Anka stiffened suddenly as a thought occured to her. Swiveling around she caught sight of a couple near her own age just a few dozen feet down the beach. "No way..." She gaped, taking in their features and comparing them to her memories, "Anoka, look!" She said excitedly, "Are they...?"

Anoka followed her gaze and frowned briefly in thought, "I think so..." He managed, allowing her to lead him over to the pair.

"So... What brings you two to the beautiful Hawaiian islands?" Anka asked with a small smile.

"Anka!" Nami squeaked as she leapt at her friend. Anka caught her and embraced her tightly. "We're on our...well...honeymoon!"

"We were just thinking about you actually," Nagi added.

"Oh! I've missed you so much!" Nami said quickly.

"I've missed you both horribly!" Anka giggled and blushed, "Anoka and I... are on our honeymoon too you know." She managed to say.

"Pleasure to see you both again." Anoka smiled, running his fingers through his messy hair, "How have you been these past few years?"

"Better without demons," Nagi muttered, "But Nami's in law school and I was let in on all of my family's secrets..." he sighed.

"Do you wanna get a drink? Catch up?" Nami asked happily.

"Yeah, definitely," Anka said agreeably, "Then I can brag about being a published author and my current dig." She grinned as Anoka ruffled her hair.

"Despite the incident in Egypt she still wants to be an archaologist." He chuckled.

"Hey, despite the hell that that was... Learning about the distant past is an exciting mystery." Anka stuck her tongue out.

The four of them sat at the tiki bar, waiting to be waited on. "How does publication feel?" Nami asked.

"And knowing you can wake up demons at any minute," Nagi added.

"Publication feels awesome." Anka chirped, "I've published three books in two years and just sent my latest work into the publisher the day before my wedding. As for the possibility of waking up demons..." Anka glared briefly at Nagi, "I've been careful not to read any ancient texts or listen to the voices trying to draw me to my doom." Her tone was mildly sarcastic.

"I'm still working on my own education." Anoka muttered, "Learning modern technologies and creating an identity for myself in this day an age... It's been different I must say..."

"I can't believe you've learned so much in such little time, though," Nami commented.

"Yeah, you are some level of genius," Nagi agreed.

A young waitress appeared, bringing them all large glasses that were filled with a red beverage. "We didn't order yet," Nami muttered.

"Compliments of the couple at the end of the bar," the waitress said politely.

Everybody simultaneously glanced at the end of the bar to find Lulu and Akira waving subtly at them. "Them too?" Nagi asked, taken aback by the new discovery.

"Oh my god, Lulu!" Anka leapt up from her seat and dashed across the bar, throwing her arms around her friend, "Don't tell me you guys are here on your honeymoon too?"

"You bet." Lulu chirped, wrapping her arms around Anka, "I can't believe you guys are here!"

Anoka frowned, "Such coincidence... Everyone reuniting in Hawaii. Lucky thing there are no supernatural forces to be opposed here I'd say..."

Nami joined their hug, "Oh I missed you, sweetie!"

"I missed my dolls too," Lulu assured them.

"You guys seem to get hotter with age," Akira drooled.

"Excuse me," Lulu said as she turned away from them, knocking Akira off his bar stool and returning her attention to him, "Now, where were we?"

"Three way honeymoons..." Anka said with a grin.

"Hey, Lu," Nagi said as he approached her.

"My prince!" Lulu gave Nagi a tight squeeze and a kiss on both of his cheeks, "Though I guess you're Nami's prince technically..." she said thoughtfully.

"Are there supernatural forces here?" Anoka asked as he slowly joined the others.

"I didn't figure so," Anka glanced over at him, disentangling herself from the hug to grasp his hand, "What's on your mind?"

"It seems too great a coincidence for three couples that have been through what we've been through and been seperated for several years to be married and on honeymoon around the same time at the same place." Anoka muttered, wrapping his arms around Anka's waist, "I've learned not to trust coincidences..."

"I'm with you," Nagi said firmly. "Too weird."

"It's fate!" Akira chimed in as he stood, dusting himself off.

"It could be," Nami said thoughtfully. "But let's not look too much into it. Let's enjoy whatever drink Lulu bought us and have fun on our honeymoons."

"Okay..." Nagi murmured.

"Why don't we just leave it at the thought that great minds think alike?" Anka replied with a sigh as she lifted her drink to her lips and gulped it down, "Not too bad."

"Don't tell me..." Anoka started.

"Honeymoon drink off anyone?" Anka asked with a grin, brow quirked in Nagi's direction- he'd been a lightweight for as long as she could remember, she wondered if he'd learned to hold the alcohol.

"Great idea!" Nami squeed.

"Just like old times," Lulu grinned.

"Except it's legal," Akira added.

"I'll stay sober to keep the rest of you from doing something stupid," Nagi said flatly.

"When have we ever done something stupid while drunk?" Lulu asked.

"It's a safer question to ask when you haven't done something stupid while drunk," Nagi countered.

A short while and a few drinks later, a young waitress slipped a flyer onto their table. "What's this?" Nagi asked, grabbing the flyer.

She smiled, "It's our sacred week. We celebrate our islands' guardians," she explained.

"Guardians? Like sticking to the old ways for a week and modernized the other 51 weeks of the year?" Nagi hoped.

"What, you don't believe in magic?" the waitress asked.

"We believe, we're just not big fans," Anoka said calmly.

"What? Why?" she was more confused.

"You wouldn't believe it if we told you," Akira slurred his words.

"Oh, well, tonight is the revivial of the lizard-men, and then the wolf-men, the elf kin, the dragon, the phoenix, vampires (insert other creatures later) all one day at a time..."

"Say what?" Nami asked.

"Come to the ceremony tonight and find out..." she shrugged.

"No, no, no..." Nagi shook his head, "Uh uh, no..."

"I don't need to point out that you killed the double negative rule," Anka said dryly.

"I thought this place was supposed to be magic free..." Lulu moaned.

"Look... it's just a festival..." Akira said slowly, though he didn't really believe his own statement.

"It could very well be so." Anoka said slowly, "The only real way we'd know if something were going to happen would be to check it out," He wrapped an arm around Anka's shoulders comfortingly.

"If anything is supposed to be awakened, we are out, we'll go skiing in Aspen or something," Nagi said firmly.

"It might be fascinating," Nami shrugged.

"Please stay on my side," Nagi pleaded.

"I'd really rather... um... not have to save the world again." Anka said agreeably, "Or be a target..."

"There was nothing fun about that situation." Lulu muttered, shuddering and downing another drink.

"Can we slip out of memory lane, please?" Nami questioned.

"So... bottom line, should we or shouldn't we attend this thing out of simple curiousity?" Akira asked.

"Let's not and say we did," Nagi said firmly. "We've been through enough thanks to magic and even if it's just for fun, let's stay out of it for principle."

"I agree," Nami murmured.

"Yeah, it's our honeymoon..." Lulu nodded. "We should be basking in the wonders of the world around us."

"She's right. We're in Hawaii!" Akira said enthusiastically, standing for emphasis and stumbling a bit.

Anka pulled him back into his seat, sighing, "I don't believe this contest was over." She said with an amused grin, lifting her drink and toasting her companions before draining it.

"Haha, too true, yo, bartender, another round!~" Lulu called.

"So... they always drank like this when I was left at home?" Anoka asked as a curious aside to Nagi.

"Yeah...they did," Nagi informed him, "A good bit..."

"Nagi, wanna head upstairs?" Nami asked, winking quite obviously to Nagi.

"Yeah, you should lay down..." Nagi sighed, standing, "See you all later."

"Aww, see you both later." Anka grinned, "Anoka and I are on the first floor, room 107 for reference. Give us a call or stop by later and we can hang out again."

"That's no fun!" Lulu pouted, "We were enjoying our contest..." She leaned back and almost lost her balance in her seat before she managed to right herself again.

"I believe I've won!" Akira declared as he fell backward onto the floor.

"No contest..." Lulu muttered.

Anka giggled, "Actually... you would be the first one down." She said, amused.

Anoka wrapped his arm around Anka's waist, "I think this competition has pretty much ended." He said, ruffling her hair.

"Yeah... May as well head back to the room, a shower would be nice." Anka grinned sheepishly.

"I am so proud of you." Lulu closed Anka into a tight hug.

"For... what?" Anka asked.

"I never thought I'd hear those words come out of your mouth." Lulu grinned, "Now go have fun and get laid."

Nami roused sometime in the evening. "N-Nagi?" she called out as she sat up. She smiled when after rubbing her eyes, she discovered a bottle of water beside a bottle of aspirin. She took two aspirin and read the note he left for her. Went to get food. I'll be back soon. Love Nagi. "He's so cute," she blushed as she stood, stretching.

Nagi entered their room, "Oh...you're up," he said with obvious surprise.

"Why not just order room service?" Nami asked curiously.

"Room service can't buy this," he said, revealing a giant chocolate bar.

"I love you!" Nami squeaked as she leapt at Nagi, embracing him tightly.

Wrapping his free arm around her, Nagi kissed her cheek. "I love you, too."

"Can we talk?" she asked, her tone dropping a few pitches with her mood.

"What about?" he asked as he walked to the bed, easily carrying Nami with him.

"Me falling asleep on you...twice..." Nami said somberly.

"Jet lag and drunk," Nagi replied with a shrug.

"Don't you want to have sex on our honeymoon?" Nami asked playfully as she ran her fingers down Nagi's chest.

"If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't," he said sincerely. "I'm going to be attracted to you no matter where we are, or when we have time to fool around..." he said as he traced her jawline with her fingertips.

Nami moaned softly as her eyes eased shut. "Uh huh..."

"And we don't have to have sex when people expect us to," he added, his tone becoming more airy.

"Yeah..." she moaned again as his fingers slowly advanced down her neck.

Nagi withdrew his hand from Nami's body, "So we can relax and just let it happen," he said, his tone normal as he started to walk away from the bed.

Nami's jaw dropped as she stared at her husband. "I can't believe you!"

"What?"

"Getting me worked up and turned on and, and...nothing!" she complained, blushing a little.

"Well, since it's daylight, I thought I'd go for a dip in the hotel's pool," he shrugged as he tossed his shirt to the ground.

Nami bit her lip as she watched him grab their card key. She approached Nagi, grabbing his hand and then leading him back to the bed. "Not quite yet," she whispered before pulling Nagi on top of her.

"Now we won't get to swim until later tonight," Nagi said sheepishly.

"Who said we'd be swimming then, either?" Nami asked seductively.

"What puts you in these moods?" Nagi asked between kisses.

Nami smirked, "You, you and, um, you." She brushed some of his bangs backwards before kissing him again, "Continue."

"Gladly," he replied rather quickly as he continued with their foreplay.

"Did we have sex again?" Akira asked as he woke.

"I had sex. I used you to get off because you were too drunk to move," Lulu replied calmly as she grabbed another grape, eating it immediately afterward.

"That sounds hot," he admitted as he sat up.

"Maybe to you," Lulu rolled her eyes.

"What? I was passed out! You can't blame me for not being a hot lay when I'm passed out!" Akira said indignantly.

"I've had better sex with my fingers," she said dryly, rolling her eyes again.

"I'm going to have to prove you wrong, now," Akira assured her.

"Sweetie, you'll have to make me cum seven times in a row to make me forgive this. I mean for God's sake, if I knew this would happen, I'd have brought my vibrator through customs as back up," she was clearly annoyed.

"Get over here and I'll do just that," Akira offered.

"I'm not in the mood. What do you think of these curtains. In my Hampton house I'm going to have something like this, but I like the material, not the colors. I think Chloe killed this color in her house, what do you think about pink? I know! It's fabulous!" Lulu ranted on.

Akira raked his fingers down his face, "The talk until I commit suicide treatment..." he fell backwards, knowing that he was a prisoner of his own hell.

"And I prefer a good shag. In both senses of the term. Not the same shade of pink though..."

Anoka wrapped his arms around Anka's waist as the steaming water from the shower washed over them. Slowly he kissed her shoulder and up the back of her neck.

She shivered beneath his touch and arched her neck as he playfully nipped. It took only a small moan on her part before the water was off and he had her in his arms, kissing her as he eased her down onto the bed.

She ran her fingers through his damp hair and arched beneath him as he kissed down over her collarbones and breasts, his fingers dancing over her flesh. Anka pulled him back up for a kiss. As he eased into her she wrapped her legs around his waist and lost track of the time as they made love.

Nagi smiled as he watched Nami dress. "Want to go get a tropical drink and relax by the seaside?" he asked.

"Sure, but I promised the girls some girl talk," Nami replied. "So you'll have to give us a minute," she said firmly as she finished dressing. She walked out of the bathroom as she pulled her hair out of her lazed ponytail, "What else do you want to do?"

Nagi shrugged, "So long as we're in Hawaii I'm being as lazy as possible."

"Okay, well, I'm meeting the girls at the tiki bar," Nami gave Nagi a quick kiss, "I'll meet you right afterward."

"See ya there," he replied sighing as he watched her leave. They still had two days left of their vacation time and romance had been the majority of their time spent. Nagi immediately grabbed a blanket and their beach towels, heading down to the beach.

"Hello," Anoka greeted him from a nearby blanket with a large umbrella.

"Hey," Nagi stopped, joining Anoka on the blanket. "Didn't think anybody else would leave their rooms," he admitted.

"Anka wanted to spend some time with the girls," Anoka said softly, "And your cousin is getting us some drinks."

"Hey, got you something in case you decided to show up, too," Akira said enthusiastically as he passed Nagi a large tropical drink. "And our drinks," Akira handed Anoka the beverage, tapping glasses afterward.

"Hey, boys," a young girl said flirtatiously.

Nagi and Anoka held up their left hands, pointing to the wedding rings, "Married," they chorused.

"I'm not," Akira said with a grin.

"Really?" the girl asked, clearly interested.

"He's 28 and married to a girl with more lawyers than Donald Trump has dollars," Nagi cut in.

Nami made her way to the tiki bar, dressed in her bikini, her shaw, SPF 40 sunscreen and the strappy sandals she had grown to love.

"Nami!" Anka waved cheerfully from the bar. She wore her own dark bikini with a wrap-around skirt and a pair of sandals.

"About time," Lulu grinned, holding up her drink and approaching the pair of them.

"What's up?" Nami asked warmly.

"Okay, now. Since it's no longer personal...I have to ask," Lulu drew in a deep breath, "How's the sex?"

Nami blushed averting her gaze. "Lu, we might be older, but that's still personal..." she murmured.

"Oh, come on...just a little something? Mine's fantastic when Akira participates," she admitted before taking a sip of her beverage.

"Sorry, Lu, that information is most definitely and completely personal." Anka replied coolly, "In any case... We were discussing dinner plans, I hear the hotel has fantastic dishes."

"But..." Lulu pouted, "In high school your sex lives were nonexistant and I could tease you both about it... But now you're both up there with me, married, and honeymooning in Hawaii... What is there to tease about?"

"Nothing." Anka replied with an amused grin, "That's the point, we can hang out and actually have non-embarrassing fun."

"Alright, fine..." Lulu pouted. "Tell me this much. Is it good?"

"Well, let's just say that you didn't over glorify it," Nami offered, "And on to dinner plans."

"Anka?" Lulu quirked a brow in her other friend's direction.

"Nami's right, you didn't overglorify it, but you were too open about it." Anka gave an exasperated sigh.

"Do you want to have dinner?" Nami asked slowly.

"Yeah, yeah. Still gotta ask the other two..." Lulu stroked her chin.

"Anyhow, why not just meet tonight? The hotel has a four star restaurant and a wide variety of dishes," Nami reasoned.

"Dinner is a definite," Anka nodded, "How about... 7?" She twirled a dark strand of hair between her fingers distractedly.

"Why so late?" Lulu asked suspiciously, quirking her eyebrow.

"Anoka and I have a date." Anka replied with a faint blush.

"Does it involve being locked away in your room for the next few hours?" Lulu smirked.

"No, if you must know we're going scuba diving off the coast." Anka replied, "The water's gorgeous and I've always wanted to do it..."

"Sounds wonderful..." Nami admitted. "Nagi and I have been enjoying the weather and the service here. Everybody is so nice..."

"Too nice," Lulu added, quickly jumping off the previous subject. "It's almost creepy...they're treating us like royalty or something."

"Not turning down your requests, either?" Nami guessed.

"Wow, both of you too?" Anka asked, "How strange..."

"You don't think..." Lulu started, then, "Nah, nevermind. I think I'm going to drag Akira up to the volcano, I'd love to see it." Her mind wandered beyond just seeing the volcano and she grinned.

"I've considered it, Lu," Nami admitted.

"Yeah, Akira can be annoying," Lulu sighed.

"Not that. I mean the supernatural presence," Nami hissed.

"Oh, well, the religion in Hawaii was polytheistic, not much magic here, really," Anka explained.

"Yeah, so I've ruled it out," Lulu shrugged. "I mean, maybe they're attracted to us?"

"Then women too?" Anka asked.

"There are lesbians," Lulu said unconvincingly.

"Honey, I somehow doubt that every woman in Hawaii is a lesbian," Nami muttered, patting Lulu's hand.

"I agree," Anka sighed, shaking her head in amusement.

"Think of logic, then. Anka, you wrote a book. Maybe they recognize you and don't want to be groupies? And I'm a famous fashion designer and hotel heiress, and Nami and you both were valedictorians in High School. You were in the papers then for that and before that after the discovery of the pyramid back in Egypt."

"That explanation makes sense, yet screams denial," Nami commented.

"It's not very logical if you think about it..." Anka frowned, "Sure all of those things are true... but so many people? With personality differences alone the idea clashes. I hate to say it but... maybe we need to look more into the Hawaiian culture. As much as I love the free things, complimentary lessons, tours, and food... It just gives me the creeps."

"I'm sure they'll give us some books...or hell, our own library..." Nami commented.

"So you want to look at the details?" Lulu asked.

"I think we should keep things quiet," Anka said, glancing around briefly, "If this is something... supernatural... It may not be wise to be caught looking into it." she made a face.

"Better to know our enemy than be taken by surprise," Lulu murmured.

"Maybe...maybe if we just look at the religion and nothing else," Nami muttered. "Couldn't hurt, right?"

"Just like it couldn't hurt to read those hieroglyphics..." Anka managed with a dry chuckle, "Shall we seek out a library or will computers suffice for now?"

"Computers are faster," Nami said, standing at once. "My laptop's in the room."

"I'll come with, mine's in my room as well." Anka replied, standing as well, "Lu?"

Lulu pulled a bag out from under her seat and patted it affectionately, "I never go anywhere without this baby, you never know when inspiration'll hit for a new design or for anything really..." She grinned, tugging the strap over her shoulder and rising, "We'll hang out in one of our rooms for research..."

"Okay, I will call your wife if you don't settle," Nagi said firmly.

"What are you waiting for?" Anoka asked, clearly he was also as annoyed as Nagi.

"What? There's nothing wrong with looking a little..." Akira said wryly.

"It's called respect," Nagi said dryly.

"I do have respect..." Akira drooled, "I respect the bodies of women everywhere."

"That's not what he meant." Anoka muttered, "Should I take away your sight for a while?" He waggled his fingers threateningly.

Akira glared at Anoka, "I'm the healer, remember?"

"We can all heal," Nagi reminded him.

"I would learn to be more faithful to your wife or you could lose her." Anoka said with a frown.

"Me, lose Lu?" Akira blinked before chuckling mildly, "She looks at men too, it's not like I intend to sleep with every pretty girl I ever encounter- otherwise I'd have had Nami and Anka years ago."

"Not amusing." Anoka muttered.

"Have you forgotten both that I can kick your ass and that Nami and Anka are repulsed by you?" Nagi asked.

"Pfft..." Akira rolled his eyes.

"Does it amuse you to behave this way?" Anoka demanded, "You're immature in quite a few ways..."

"Of course it's amusing. Come on, you don't find one girl hot?" Akira asked as he quite obviously watched an attractive young woman pass them.

"No, not really," Nagi replied, sighing afterward.

"Come on...not even the one over there reading?" Akira pointed to a young brunette who was in fact holding a magazine.

"She's reading a fashion magazine. So definitely not," Nagi replied.

"Huh? How do you know that?" Akira scratched his head.

"Because your wife is on the cover," Anoka muttered.

"Do you both always pay attention to detail like that?" Akira grumbled.

"You don't always learn much about anybody based on appearance alone." Anoka shrugged.

"My career is centered on attention," Nagi reminded him.

"Eh..." Akira shrugged. A moment later his ears perked and he grinned mischieviously, "if you guys'll excuse me..." He dashed up the beach before either could protest.

"Please tell me Johnny Depp is signing autographs..." Nagi pleaded as he slowly followed Akira's path.

"Doesn't look like it..." Anoka winced as they came across a makeshift stage on the beach.

"We need a straight jacket," Nagi muttered as he glanced around in attempt to find his cousin. "Where'd he get to?"

"Give you one guess..." Anoka muttered, pointing towards the foot of the stage.

"He's like a fan girl," Nagi said in awe as he raked his fingers down his cheeks.

"He is... A fan of girls." Anoka made a face.

"Do you want to hit him, or should I?" Nagi asked as he cracked his knuckles.

"He is your cousin." Anoka shrugged briefly, "So I leave the honors to you."

"Well, let's get this over with," Nagi grumbled as he approached his hypnotized cousin. Nagi grabbed Akira's shirt, yanking him away from the stage in a swift, violent motion.

"Awe..." Akira grasped for the stage as he watched it shrink away from him.

Nami slid the card key into the slot. She opened the door and flopped onto the bed on her belly. "You should be plugged in over here..." she said simply as she crawled across the bed. She yanked the cord from the wall and pulled the laptop from the floor onto the bed. "Now where is my bag?"

"Nami?" Anka tapped on the other woman's door, her laptop bag draped over her shoulder loosely as she tapped the case.

Nami opened the door, "I can't find my laptop bag..." she hung her head.

"So we can hang out here..." Lulu said with a shrug.

"Yeah, it's not a big deal, you've got a pretty nice looking room." Anka glanced around briefly in admiration, "Ooh, and a balcony... That'll be a nice place to work for a while." She grinned.

"Don't touch the banister," Nami blushed.

"Been busy?" Lulu quirked a brow.

"Jeez, Lu... It's a honeymoon, what do you think?" Anka muttered.

"Hey, I've seen her husband. I am not blaming her for liking it any way..." Lulu winked at Nami.

"Thanks?" Nami raised an eyebrow.

Anka flopped on one of the seats on the balcony and flipped her laptop open, quickly signing in, "Free wifi perk." She said with a mild grin.

"Loving the ability to work between..." Nami stopped mid-sentence, "Never mind."

Lulu chuckled, "It's okay. We understand."

"So... group search on Hawaiian religions, or shall we split it between religions, legends, gods, etc?" Anka questioned, fingers poised over the keyboard.

"Splitting goes faster," Nami shrugged.

"I'll look up gods," Lulu suggested.

"Mmkay, while you're doing that I'll look into rituals and the like." Anka replied, "Let's see what we can come up with."

"I'll start on the general religion, then," Nami shrugged, pulling up a web page.

Nagi slipped into the room. He hid the box of chocolate behind his back, "Nami?"

"Out here," she replied.

Nagi walked out onto the balcony where Nami, Anka and Lulu were. Each woman was parked in front of a laptop. "Hey, I bought you this," he said, kissing Nami's forehead. He passed her the chocolate.

Nami grabbed the chocolate, "I love you!"

"I love you, too. What are you getting into?" Nagi inquired.

"Just reading up on the gods and goddesses," Anka replied.

"Any reason?" he asked.

Lulu shrugged, "Curiosity at this point," she returned her gaze to the computer screen, humming softly to herself.

Nami pulled up an article as Nagi nestled into the chair behind her. She knitted her eyebrows together as she reached for her reading glasses. Slipping them on, she began reading the article, stopping halfway through the article. "Guys?" she asked gingerly.

"Yeah?" Anka and Lulu chorused.

"Do you remember the time we were captured by demons and used as training for their army?" Nami inquired.

"Yeah, why?" Lulu shifted her gaze to Nami.

"Do you remember the magical powers we developed that weren't ever explained?" Nami asked.

"Yeah, Lulu could make earthquakes and tremors; I could create and control lightning and you could create and control flames," Anka said quickly.

"Oh, no. Why do you ask?" Nagi asked, raking his fingers down his cheeks.

"This goddess has those same powers according to this article," Nami explained.

"Cool," Lulu shrugged.

"Interesting..." Anka said gingerly, leaning back and setting her laptop to the side as she stretched and rubbed at her eyes, "Ugh, I need caffeine..." She muttered.

"Knock, knock?" Anoka called from the doorway as he and Akira slipped gingerly across the doorway, holding several large coffees in their arms, "Sorry to just walk right in..." He said sheepishly, "The door was open and Anka wasn't in our room..."

"Lulu wasn't in ours either." Akira muttered.

"Well, we may have found magic after all," Anka stated.

"Better luck on the next trip you plot," Nami said to Nagi with a smile.

"Whoa, wait," Nagi cut in, shaking his head, "you haven't used your powers since, ladies," he said firmly, looking at each of them before nodding triumphantly.

"But you have," Lulu argued.

"But our family has magical ancestry...even reincarnation within our family," Akira cut in.

"And my family are all practicing witches," Nagi added.

"You both have valid points," Anoka shrugged, passing out the beverages. "But how to prove who is right?"

2010-05-08 [Ravendust]: lol, that's an awesome idea, and yeah, the ages sound pretty decent. :)

2010-05-08 [wicked fae mage]: Though I'm curious as to Anka's beloved xD

2010-05-08 [Ravendust]: xD, I'm still thinking her guardian, who was her 'past' lover... Can't remember his real name, it's Yaryck though as strange as that seems *strokes chin*

2010-05-08 [wicked fae mage]: Anoka

2010-05-09 [wicked fae mage]: Plotting first. Everybody on vacation. Strong magics among them wake some unnatural forces. I'm thinking "The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse" (woken early, naturally), cult kidnappings, yeti or chupacabra in the local town...something like that.

Perhaps they're a little older, maybe Nagi and Nami are engaged, Lulu and Akira have calmed down a bit, Anka has a significant other...perhaps they're all out of college for the summer or something...

And for vacation, where are they? Where would they want to go? Hawaii? The Caribbean? Some place like that? Has anybody significantly changed their appearance? Obviously everybody would have known of Nagi and Akira's magic by now and how it's shared and passed on...since this takes place after stopping mummified demons from destroying the world. Maybe they pick Hawaii (or where ever the setting is) for lack of demons and such similar forces?

***The first horseman to appear is Pestilence, who rides upon a white horse. In the wake of Pestilence comes War, riding a large, wild red horse and wielding a tremendous sword. In the wake of War, due to immense destruction because of War and Pestilence, is Famine. Famine is portly, and rides upon a black, sickly horse; this represents gluttony and hunger, respectively. And in the wake of Famine comes Death. His horse is pale green. He is followed by Hades and carries the remaining souls to their final destinations.***

Black magic cults/satanic cult kidnappings, yeti or chupacabra kidnappings to save the ones the cult is looking for (our characters naturally).

Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Concerns? xD

2010-05-14 [Ravendust]: not too sure what to post so I'm researching. Here's something that may prove useful/ interesting:

http://www.nativehawaii.com/hawaiianlegends.html

2010-05-14 [wicked fae mage]: Alrighty I'll get a look see

2010-05-14 [wicked fae mage]: Hmm...gods and goddesses...

2010-05-14 [Ravendust]: I have an interesting idea... What if Anka, Nami, and Lulu were found eventually to be the descendants of a few of the gods/goddesses? It would give them an interesting blend of magic, and perhaps that would give reason for the desire of their children?

2010-05-14 [wicked fae mage]: Hmmm...it could work...wanna pick god(s)/desses for each?

2010-05-14 [Ravendust]: I was actually reading through the legends and contemplating...

2010-05-14 [wicked fae mage]: Poliahu sounds interesting to me

2010-05-14 [Ravendust]: oh! I actually looked at that one, thought I semi-liked it... it was interesting

2010-05-14 [wicked fae mage]: Thought so too

2010-05-15 [wicked fae mage]: What if the girls are all decent from the one goddess, and the wanted children weren't born because the carrier of the magical children weren't strong enough without the mixing of the male magic during love making and other exchanges of fluid? The girls being strong enough now after that magic mixing are pregnant or immediately become so with the wanted magical offspring that are to be sacrificed by an evil cult and all of the mythological creatures want to protect their goddesses great(to the hundredth power) grandchildren

2010-05-15 [Ravendust]: xD nice post. I was thinking though... what about a time skip to sometime later? ><;; I dunno what to post at this point, talking ideas usually helps...

2010-05-15 [wicked fae mage]: Well, love making to result in the pregnancies comes to mind...
We could time skip for a day or two though

2010-05-15 [wicked fae mage]: How should we do this now?

2010-05-15 [Ravendust]: hmm, honestly I'm not too sure, we can skip a few days and have the 8 of them somehow 'win' an extended stay at the hotel, so that it makes sense that they're there for a while xD... Either that or something can happen that makes it so that they feel the need to stay and explore the mysticism behind the islands...

2010-05-15 [wicked fae mage]: 6 love :P

Somebody mysteriously comping them an extra week or two...*wwooooooo*

2010-05-15 [Ravendust]: lol, fun
